About

Coxwold Cabinet Makers was established in 1987 by two local Yorkshire cabinet makers; Geoffrey Taylor-Gell and Jonathan Dixon, with the help of a £1,000 grant from The Prince’s Trust. In 1988, as the business grew, they employed Paul Cooper who had recently finished his apprenticeship. The business has grown steadily since, developing a loyal client base requiring individual high quality furniture. Specialist commissions have been undertaken over the years including the shop fitting of the Visitors’ Centre on the Duke of Devonshire’s Estate at Bolton Abbey and a library at Husthwaite School.

In 2008 Jonathan Dixon left the partnership, and after 20 years of loyal service Paul Cooper became Geoff’s new business partner to continue Coxwold Cabinet Makers as producers of high quality custom built furniture and kitchens.
